Vero Beach Clay Shooting Sports (VBCSS) is a Top 10 ranked sporting clays venue serving a range of clients from novice to competitive NSCA shooters and home of the Caribbean Classic. The facility is found just east of I-95, 5 miles from Vero Beach, on lush grounds dotted with palm trees and 100-year-old live oaks. A newly constructed clubhouse facilitates tournaments and recreational events including daily dining. All range equipment, including Promatic machines, shooting stands, golf carts, ancillary vehicles and our Maintenance Shop are kept in excellent condition, supporting our goal to have minimal shooter down time and zero wasted targets. 

VBCSS is owned by Elite Shotguns. Elite is operationally stable, well-capitalized and is one of the nation’s largest dealers of competition shotguns sporting an inventory of more than one thousand guns. The Elite store at VBCSS offers a full “Elite” experience including a full shotgun line, professional fitting, and training by experts. 

Vero Beach Clay Shooting Sports is currently seeking a Full-Time Gun Room Manager to:

• • Lead our Sales Effort in the Vero Beach Location.
  • Create a Sales Strategy to accelerate value for our existing gun inventory.
  • Work as a Team with Stores in Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and Texas to maximize company sales.
  • Develop a Thorough Understanding of our products.
  • Maintain Gun Room Inventory in an organized and professional manner.
  • Maintain Order/Cleanliness to professional standards.
  • Remain Current with and Strictly Implement all ATF/FFL Rules and Regulations.
  • Become Proficient in Merchant Magic, the Company’s Point of Sale System. 
  • Assure Gun Inventory is Photographed and Posted according to Vero/Elite standards. 
  • Promptly Package and Ship Guns for inbound and outbound transactions.
  • Create Calendar for Deployment of Mobile Showroom. 
  • Be Proficient in Gun Fit for customers.

Applicants should have:

• Effective communication skills.
• High school Diploma or minimum.
• 5 years of firearms sales experience.
• Understanding of competitive clay shooting sports.
• Point of sale experience is necessary.

Vero Beach Clay Shooting Sports is currently seeking a Full-Time Shooting Range Manager to:

• • Have an Unconditional Safety Mindset. Assure staff and clients are trained to execute safe gun handling and golf cart operation.
  • Set Daily Practice Targets and refresh as instructed.  
  • Set Monthly NSCA Targets.
  • Set Charity/Corporate Targets proper to event skill level. 
  • Supervise and Manage all shooting course personnel (4-6 people).
  • Create a written Planned Maintenance Schedule covering Promatic machines, grounds, roads, golf carts, tractors, and all other equipment in Maintenace Barn.
  • Execute the Planned Maintenance Schedule.
  • Assume primary responsibility for accurately Reporting Target and Ammunition inventory to Executive Office Manager. 
  • Work with Event Coordinator to Execute Corporate/Charity and NSCA Events. 
  • Propagate the “Elite Experience” to all guests, vendors, and visitors.

We ask that the candidate have the following qualifications:

• Working knowledge of Promatic Machines.
• Previous experience setting targets for major sporting clays events.
• Understanding/Experience running competitive sporting clays events.
• Credentials to run machinery such as tractor, loader, and forklift.
• Effective communication skills.
• Have a valid driver license.
• High school Diploma minimum.
